THERE are specialists ready, willing and able to match job candidates with suitable positions.

Alliance People Solutions is a Maitland-based owned and operated professional recruitment and training business.

It operates across the eastern seaboard with additional offices in Sydney, Wollongong, Tamworth, Brisbane and Melbourne servicing both clientele and candidates.

Hunter and Central Coast team leader Paul McLaughlin said the training division of Alliance People Solutions focused on addressing skill shortages across industry through managing the delivery of the federal-funded Australian Apprenticeship Access (ACCESS) Programs.

"In the past 12 months more than 1200 participants have participated in training with more than 700 securing employment or apprenticeships and traineeships across a variety of industries such as engineering, mechanical, electrical, fabrication, hairdressing, baking, cheffing, administration and the Australian Defence Force Reserves," Mr McLaughlin said.

"The courses are designed to prepare participants for entry into employment through delivery of 152 hours of pre-apprenticeship training.

"In addition to the training, Alliance People Solutions also provides 13 weeks of additional support in securing either an apprenticeship or traineeship within the candidates' chosen field of industry or further education opportunities."

Alliance People Solutions works with TAFE and other registered training organisations to achieve training outcomes.

"To date, our training has supported over 2400 participants with a further 1500 participants projected for completion of training in 2008," he said.

Information on upcoming courses can be found atalliancepeople.com.au or call 1300 657 925.
